Free

There's an unfamiliar depth to this pain
So hard to diagnose but you try
And it seems the more you try to help
The more I cry
I hurt in places that anatomy fails to define
It's deeper than the body and mind
And been around longer than time
I get so lost in it
To get out I need a sign
And you just might be it
I will never forget
The way you push me to fight
With all my might and sight
You tell me who I am and what I can do to make it right
because sometimes I trade my identity for
A pity-party self-invite
That doubles as ticket for a train
That will eventually crash & burn
But what I've learned from you is that
We all go under attack
But not everyone fights back
And it's a sad but true fact
I don't want to be defeated
So I'll take the lesson that you're teaching
As a manual
And make this pain more tangible
So we can go one-on-one, toe-to-toe
Gotta knock it out
because someplaces I just can't go
The capacity limit just won't support that weight
My baggage helped me to create
